Hairy eyebrows
« on: February 18, 2008, 04:20:37 PM »
As you can see from my picture i have very bushy/hairy eyebrows..
I feel they are too hairy and look odd with my bald head
Has anyone any ideas on a way other than plucking to thin out the eyebrows ?

Mine are light, but I do occasionally get some wild ones.  I use a beard/mustache trimmer to control the little buggers.  It seems to work well, but you have to be careful to start with the highest setting, and work yourself down until you get the desired look.  If they start to grow together (unibrow), I'm no help there.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Mine are very light also.  But I use one of those little personal trimmers to keep the wild hairs under control.  Just a litttle off makes a big difference.

Bro...use the trimmers.  Works perfectly fine.  Just like they said...go slow and use the highest setting.....you dont want them to be too short.  You can also shape them up with the trimmers too if they are too wide and long.  Use the trial and error method.....you will figure it out.  Good Luck....

I happen to think strong eyebrows look good with a bald noggin.

Mine are light...wish they were bushy-er.

Don't be too self conscious about facial/noggin features....we tend to be WAY TOO CRITICAL of ourselves when we look in the mirror.

Don't worry about your brows, Casey, they're meant to be there. If you feel they are too bushy for you, just trim them down a bit like Stu, Sly, Tim and myself do.
Eyebrows are part of our facial expressions and I think we'd look weird without them.

Great Idea Porky, This is what I do!!

I have inherited big bushy black eyebrows from my Lebanese grandfather. He had the biggest eyebrows in the history of mankind. You could plant a patch of carrots in them suckers!

I personally dont mind my big eyebrows, I agree with Joe and RM, they build character and add to the Sly look

I used to really hate my eyebrows but I don't care anymore. I mean I'm married with 4 kids and am in my 30's. If you were disfigured in a serious accident then I'm sure all worries about bushy eyebrows would take a back seat so always keep that at the forefront of your mind.

Let's see, we shave all the hair off our face and we shave all the hair off our heads. Does that give you any ideas as to what to do with those little patches of hair above your eyes.

Actually, the Clippers are a good idea. I never thought of it until I was growing my mustache out. I asked a guy at work, "How are your mustache and eyebrows so fricken straight and trim?", and he gave me the idea. I gave up on the mustach, but I do use the clippers about once a month on the eyebrows. The older I get, the more wild some of these hairs become, know what I mean?

Clippers, No. 3 guard and it keeps them from getting to combover, or should that be combback length.  Hair, I can't figure out MPB, it falls out on the top of the head and crown, then grows like weeds on and in the ears, out of the nose, back, etc.  Thanks to clippers and razors, it can be managed, but it is a pain.

I peeled my brows off 7 years ago one morning after I finished the daily head shave.  I just got tire of the things smearing  my eyeglasses(was constantly cleaning lenses) and man, I look like a real bullethead without them.  Just like the hair on my head and face; I have no intention of ever growing them back again and no more smeared lenses
