CVS M3 Shaving System
« on: February 10, 2008, 03:57:04 PM »
Someone mentioned this in another thread, but I wanted to add a thought or two.

CVS has a triple blade system called the M3. Outside of the green (vs. yellow) lubricating strip, these are the Headblade Triples.

Even better for me, there's a face shaving handle, so when I've used up the blade on shaving my head, I can recycle it for my face (i.e. my face is tougher than my scalp) for shaving.

This is a huge savings boon, because I now only need to buy one kind of blade for face and head. The blades cost $4.99 for 4 ($3.49 on sale online) whereas the Headblade triples cost $7.99 for 4.

A caveat -- I took two divots of skin out of my scalp using these cartridges in a HeadBlade.

Granted, I was not fully awake ... but I've never torn flesh this badly with HeadBlade's triples.

Maybe these are a slightly different angle? Or a different quality control?

I think they might manufacture the blades a little different, but I've never cut my head that bad... remember to keep the pressure off the blade  O0

I have just recently bought a pack of these and I am getting some excellent shaves when connected to the Headblade Sport.
