Is the a forum member only event or are SO's welcome. It's really unlikely that my wife will want to attend but ya never know.
Are you sure you want to subject your wife to a bunch of bald guys??

Sadly, I am not going to be able to attend the convention. Due to financial constraints we are going to be delaying our visit to the US until late '08 early '09.
I have no doubt you guys will have a blast w/o me however I will be there in spirit. -

Well...i kinda got a bad vib this morning from the wife. I mentioned it again about the chicago trip...she just looked at me and said...You dont even know these guys.........
Thats all she said...so I guess I will just have to either...1...send her on a plane to florida that weekend...or duct tape her mouth, hands and feet and shove her in a closet....lol...

For those of you with wives/girlfriends, bring 'em!
I've been thinking about this and was thinking that if there's something for everyone to do on Saturday night, then maybe this could work out. I was thinking I could ask my band about performing at the chosen hotel/motel on Saturday night (if it's feasible). The big problem likely would be cost as I'm certain they (there are seven of us plus our soundguy) won't play for free. It's nothing personal. We're playing a gig that Sunday night, so getting them out on a Saturday night would be hard anyway.
I was just thinking that if there was a band playing and a bar available, then it would give everyone something to do that Saturday night and maybe make it an easier sell to everyone's significant others.
Not meaning to impose...just offering a suggestion... -

Thunderbroom that is cool of you to offer your bands services. I guess it depends on what the SBG's would be willing to pay. It is going to be a costly enterprise for some as they are going to be flying in from far flung areas so the idea of shelling out 100-200 bucks on top of that would be a bit rich to ask.
I suggest you PM Tyler or one of the Moderators with a possible plan. If the SBG's are keen for the idea then I have little doubt that you could make it happen, however if they dont, thanks anyways for the offer.
