What's the origin of "sly"?

I'd never heard the term relative to baldness until I found this forum a couple of days ago.

So, one of the dictionary meanings of Sly is to be Playfully Roguish. Being that Sly Bald Guys go against the grain of the thought of many out there, I thought the Roguish part fit well.

Dictionaries world wide will have to be edited however now that Sly Bald Guys has re-defined the term!
