Headblade Products Review
« on: February 06, 2008, 10:21:53 PM »
Hey guys I have been meaning to put a review of all these different products I have been buying here lately. Lets start with all the Headblade products.

HeadSlick
I dont think the cost of this stuff it terrible at all. It lasts forever. You really do not need that much especially if you use a brush to whip it up. Not a steal but not bad.I think this stuff gives great shaves. It is super slick and doesnt dry out for me when I use a brush and properly lather it up. But sometimes I get tired of using Menthol cooling stuff.

8/10

Headshade
I bought some of this and its ok. Im really not into wearing sunblocks even though I prolly should. I am sure it effective at what it does. It smelled really nice. A little pricy. I can buy some drug store stuff that will do the trick.

6/10

HeadLube
I have both the Matte and the Glossy. I dont care for either of them. They make my head feel greasy and gooey. I cant stand wearing it. Based on Jdogs suggestion I use Clearasil wipes now during the day to clean my head. The last couple times I wore Headlube my head seemed to have more crud on it and the wipe was dirtier. I think it attraced unwanted dirt. Price is ok since a bottle will last forever. Not for me though.

5/10

Headblade
Ok I have a regular and a sport. I gave the Headblade a fighting chance and it just doesnt agree with me. I like the idea, I think it is cool as heck, but I cannot escape irritation when I use it. No matter what blade I use(I tried them all) i get burn and bumps. I wish I could use one though cuz they make shaving a whole lot easier! Price is not going to kill you either. Im going to still rate it on the higher side because I do like it and am sad my head doesnt like it.

8/10

HeadShed
Nothing special just girtty wash. I can get several tubes of St Ives or use Dove soap and a loofah for alot cheaper. It does nothing special for me.

5/10

HeadWash
Nice stuff, smells good, nice lather but I consider it a novelty product. I dont think it does a better job at cleansing than any other product. I really thought it was going to be sweet, but its not that special. I actually like to use either this Burt's Bees Cleanser my ex-wife uses or Clean And Clear deep pore oxygenating cleanser.

6/10

HeadWipes
I also really wanted to like these. After using BG wipes I wanted to try these. I like the fact that they are antimicrobial, and lightly scented. That part was all good. I liked that. But the wipe itself was not strong at all. It shreded on my head. My head wasnt that rough either, pretty smooth actually. I seemed thinner and not like the BG wipe material. Smell was good though!

6/10

These are all the HB products I have tried. I like the fact that we as bald guys have products marketed for us. I salute Headblade for doing it first! I like some of thier products and will continue to use some. More reviews to come on many other things...... O0

Thanks for the review Nick!

Thank you for your review, Nick!

I'm a HeadBlade user too (Headblade, Headslick, HeadShed, HeadLube and in summer HeadShade - HeadWash and -Wipes are not available here in Europe) - for me the products work well.
We don't have so many products for Headshaver here.

WHOA! I forgot one!!

ClearHead
Ok I stuggle with bumps and was really hoping this was going to work. No way! I gave ClearHead a fair review using nothing else with it. It did noting in the way of clearing my head or my face/neck. Not impressed. It smell wasnt bad and it absorbed quickly. Also it is pretty expensive for such a tiny bottle. I also got a kick out of the huge box it was packaged in. I wouldnt waste money on it guys. I have found a better way to control burn and bumps....more on that in a later thread
