Mel, I don't know how I missed this thread. But yes I will tell you that I get the "don't forget about us." line on a regular. I try to keep my SGB confined to either my office (God I love my work) or early in the morning or late at night when I'm less likely to here "what are you doing? Talking to those bald guys again?"

This is just too funny! I hadn't seen this thread before today, and wondered how many of you SBG's put up with this from your significant others, too! Mine is in the "Just doesn't get it" category, too...although she just MAY be seeing a little bit of light. But yeah, I've had a few quips like "Oh, I see you're busy being bald again!" and things like that

Yeah, I will get a little snide remark once in awhile also....but overall the wife would rather have me doing something home than being out in a bar .....

Fortunately I've never heard one negative thing about being sly from my girlfriend.
In fact she was the one who stated she'd love it if I just shaved my head.
(She probably got tired of looking at the ridiculous rug I'd wear)

When I'm asked if I'm "chatting with the bald guys again," I just say, "Okay...I'll switch over to a dating site!"
That usually quiets things down a bit.

Yeah I was getting a little bit of that now and then. Even though i tried telling her stories from the Forum and about some of the guys.... she just didn't get it.
Then a week or so back i posted about a scary thing that happened with my son. ONe guy out of all the responses busted my balls about my, and my wife's, reactions to the situation. When I told her that, she had some not so kind words for the guy.
Then I got a PM from one of the Mods that the guy had been banned for his personal attack on me. When I told the wife that she said, "They did that? Why did they do that?"
I explained to her that SBG was about a lot more than that. That we sort of watched out for each other and that the community as a whole, especially the reuglars (no slap at the newer guys intended here), was a very good place to be.
She just went "Wow.... that's awesome". I could hear the wheels grinding...........

My g/f was happy I found this site. Just lurking, helped me gain confidence in owning the look and going sly. I owe a lot to this forum.
Then it turned into, "there you are talking to your boyfiends again" (seems to be a common phrase with our ladies).
Then, she started to get really wierded out when I started talking on the phone with SBG's.
But finally, when she found out that Tim owned a duck, for some reason that made it all good. LOL

Oh gawd
Another common thing! My wife saw me here on the forums one day and asked me "Are you gay?" (Let me say up front that neither of us has problems with gay - her son is gay.) and I just turned and said "Honey, after almost 7 years of marriage, if you don't know the answer to that question..."

its always about teh DUCK! What is it with women and DUCKS? No that was not a misspelling either...lol
I knew where Time2Shine was going when he asked me what my wife thought about me getting on the net talking to you all and even making phone calls to them. I just had that feeling he was finally dealing with the same thing. Thing is...alot of people make good things look bad. Sure there are millions of guys doing things that they shouldnt be doing on the net. I am not going to say that I have been a complete angel on here myself...we all have fallen to it at one point in time.
I just wish that all the wives and or g/f , fiances would understand, we are all just a big group of brothers here. I have talked to my wife until I was blue in the face before she finally figured out it was all good. I think though that deep down she feels a little uneasy with it. Oh well, we have fun and I LIKE IT!

Yep...I understand that. My wife jokingly said the same thing since some of the guys on here are gay...which brings up a question. Wonder how many of the gay sly guys partners sarcastically say....."Oh there you are on that site with those STRAIGHT guys again..
What an interesting question! Hopefully some of the GSG's will weigh in on this!

My wife is OK with it. When I first joined up she made fun of me about my "bald friends support group"! lol
Now, a couple of you guys text me and call me which is fine. My phone will beep with a text and she will say "Your bald friend wants to talk to you". She's cool with it.
