New Guy
« on: January 30, 2008, 08:40:31 PM »
Hello all, I am Brad. I am 38. I have been a lurker for quite some time now, but here I am... lol. I have been shaved for about 4 yrs now. I am BBC, I started greying at age 17... refused to dye it, so I decided to go slick... I always wanted to go with shorter styles when a teenager, during the 80's though, that wasn't the popular thing to do... So, I started going shorter until, as I said, about 4 yrs ago, I went slick. I love it. One advantage about greying prematurely is that I don't have too awful of a harsh shadow after shaving. And getting fainter (if that is a word) as times go on. I am really surprise at the amount of younger people on here that have chosen to go sly. Nice to see a greater diversity of ideas from when I was in school. My pic is not very recent, but you get the idea. You guys have been a real inspiration to alot of people on here that were very insecure about going bald. Kudos to you. This is admirable.  I hope this post finds everyone doing well. bp

Brad, welcome to Sly Bald Guys!

Welcome Brad always cool to add another BBCer to the gang.  Know what you mean, that is the one advantage of going grey, it diminishes that dreaded shadow.

Hey Brad, Welcome to SBG's bro.

As another BBC'er, I commend your decision to ditch the burden of hair and join the club. I envy your shadowless dome bro, shadow is the worst thing in the world! Hope you stick around!

Thanks for the reception. I will try to post an updated pic of myself soon... gettin older. lolol Community is really growing, glad to see. I have had several people that converted to sly. They didn't stay with it though. On the other hand, they didn't go back to long hair either, so I guess those are semi success stories. Sly is for a guy, IMHO. bp
