Cold weather

After 2 1/2 months of being bare on top you would think you would be case hardened to cold air in your scalp.  It was 13 degrees this morning when I went out for my jog and for the first time my scalp let me know it was bare,  It started tingling so badly that i had to go home and get a tobogan to wear.  Still love my baldie though.  My kid bro was with me and thought it was funny,  He just turned 16 and has been begging to shave his ever since I did it.  Our parents said he could when the weather "warms up" so its agreed he can get it shaved the first day it reaches 80 degrees.  He is joining the group just to hang out and keep up with the posts.

Yeah...I love the feel of cold weather on the noggin.  But if I'm gonna be out in it for a prolonged period of time, I'll carry with me a ski cap so I can enjoy it for a while and then cover up when it starts getting uncomfortable.

Yes the same here..the tobogan is always close at hand...when it is this cold.  Like Rob...I liek the feeling of the cold air on the noggin for a little while..but if out for longer times.....always a hat of some sort. 
Thats awesome about your brother.  When is he joining the site?  Will this be the first brother/brother members?

Two and a half months? Taylor, I have been mostly bald up there for 35 years. Cold is still cold; you never really get used to it. Keep that toboggan close. I too enjoy the cold air on my head, but for only so long. I always have my hat near by.

Shucks,  it's been 5 below here for a week.  My nose hairs freeze to the inside of my nostral.  I have to keep a heater under the house to keep the pipes from freezing.  My dog has dog fude frozen to the fur on his face.  It's so cold the windows in the house are frozen shut.  I turned off the freezer in garage two weeks ago to defrost and it still has as much ice in it as when I turned it off. 

As for my head,  I can stand the cold but not the wind.  I shave daily and use the HeadLube which makes keeping a stocking cap on challenging;  it tends to slide up and off by itself.
