We are trying to get a convention, of sorts, together. I am trying to get some input on where you guys would like to do this. We are thinking maybe late summer. We really need to get an idea of where so we can start searching for a venue. there will be another poll later to see how many plan to attend. but we kinda need to start looking at options now for a place to hold this. Any suggestions or opinions would be helpful. thanks Paul

If you have it in Austin, I can come since it would only be a 2 1/2 hour drive. Right now I can't spare a lot of money for stuff like plane tickets etc.
Plus if you guys need a tour guide, I did spend three glorious years in Austin as a UT student.

I'm pretty much the same distance from the top three. My Parents live in the L.A. area. Friends live in Texas and I've never been to Chicago.
How many people do you expect?

I voted, but I'm not going to say where yet because I don't want to skew other's thoughts. Rob, one of the things we're trying to figure out is how many people. But, we need to decide on a venue before people will commit.

I know which one you voted for, but I won't give it away.

Can I vote Athens, Greece?
Oh, it's so unfair! I live 9.000-10.000 km away from most of you guys.
We'll have to find a compromise.
So Athens it is, then?

Hey, congrats, Paul! 200 is a great number.

And with great numbers comes great responsibility...

I voted a cruise, only because I've always wondered how it would be to go out to sea and lounge around and get waited on.
But it really would depend on the time frame, etc. Probably won't be able to afford it. Have a daughter in college soaking up all my funds.

If you can avoid falling overboard or getting the liquid out of both ends sickness, cruises are ok.
How about South Florida during hurricane season? Good rates for room blocks and mtg halls. lol

Just think of all the frequent flier miles you'd build up on this trip!!
