Troubles with headblade....

So I've been using the headblade with headslick for almost a week. The blades seem to get clogged very easily even with extensive rinsing between strokes. Resulting in a poor shave. Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to keep using the headblade cuz I'm terrible with a normal razor and an electric just isn't close enough. Thanks.

You just have to rinse it often ....i have to rinse mine after 2-3 strokes.  Are you rinsing it in the shower or in a sink bowl?  If you are doing it in the shower...just make sure the water spray hits the blades in the downward position...meaning dont let the water run over the blades...but thru the blades..I usually dont have too much trouble rinsing them off.  Another thing could be maybe you do not have enough water on your noggin, cause I know the first time I tried the headblade with the headslick..i was doing it the sink and only using what water was on the blade when rinsed.  Now that im doing it in the shower....i get the head all good and wet then apply the headslick and it gets all foamy.  Just a thought.....hope my suggestions help ....

I also shave in the shower... much easier to rinse than the sink.  I just turn my blade vertically and aim it right at the shower head.  You should be able to see the stubble fly right out.  I find that I don't need much Headslick, about a nickel-sized squirt is all I need.  I don't know if you are using a lot and whether that could cause clogging.  Let us know if your experience improves, and don't give up on that Headblade.

Which blades are you using?  If it's the triple blades, they clog much easier.

It's the Headslick that's causing you problems.
Headslick as it comes out of the bottle is difficult to rinse out from between your razor's blades.
But if you put a dab of Headslick in a bowl or mug and whip it up with a shaving brush you will not only be getting some very nice lather but your razor won't clog up so easilt.

I don't use a Headblade, but try rinsing after every stroke if necessary.

It's the Headslick that's causing you problems.
Headslick as it comes out of the bottle is difficult to rinse out from between your razor's blades.

I agree with Bob. I use a brush to make lather with any cream I use. It does a terrific job to hydrate the lather and to lift the hairs.

I use the triples in the shower ... rinsing is important. I get a different result if I shave at the sink.

I also shave with the head slick in the shower and just slather it all over my head.  I did find that the trip's load up alot quicker than the atra doubles. 

I rinse mine HB with a direct stream into the blades and snap my hand like you would a chew tin to pop out anything that doesn't rinse out.  Just keep your phalanges away from the blade when you do it.

thanks for the advice. I guess i just wasn't working the headslick into a lather enough. Either way i completly effed up my blades tryin to get the gunk out. Which blades do you guys feel work best?

Headslick doesn't lather very well, but a little water and rubbing it in your palm will help. I like the Atra plus's and the sensor 3's, it really takes a lot to clog a atra, but I get less razer burn with sensor, even though I find I don't get as close a shave as with the Atra. Confusing? Yes lol

i use the triple blades by Sensor....or the cheap off brand from walmart....persona?  not sure ....have to look......i just know what the package looks like LOL
