I'm a redneck. It goes back to my Scottish blood.

Here's a brief piece of family history.
In 1638 and 1641 many supporters of the National Covenant and The Solemn League Covenant, or "Covenanters", largely Lowland Presbyterians signed documents which made notice that Scotland wished the Presbyterian form of church government, not the Church of England as the official state church. Some Covenanters signed in their own blood and wore red pieces of cloth around their necks as distinctive insignia; hence the term "Red neck". Since many Ulster-Scottish settlers in America (especially the South) were Presbyterian, the term redneck described them, and then, later, their descendants.

So let's mend the fences, Paulie.
Just don't let your mouth overload your tail. And there's nothing wrong with labels and stereotypes when they're used respectfully.

let you know something quick ben. my mouth will never overload my tail. if i say it, i can deal with the outcome. i too come from hard working country folks. but when i look a man in the eye and tell him something, you can bet your ass i will stand by my word.i am not trying to say anything negative towards anyone else in here. but sometimes i run across people who claim to be something that they have conveintly forgotten about. these people may be rednecks, blue necks, whatever, but they forget where they come from.



 i did not mean that towards anyone. but if the shoe fits........
