hello fellow chrome domes....just wondering... when was the last time U had a speeding ticket? when i was in my 20s it seems like i had one speeding ticket once a year. now...that i'm much wiser i haven't had a speeding ticket since 2003 when i was visiting my college buddy in tallahassee. gosh....i hope i didn't jinx myself (knocking on wood very aggressively). so...how 'bout U? when was the last time U had a ticket? and where were U? btw....i had a few "warnings" instead of tickets since. it helps 2 B very courteous 2 the men in blue.

one day...i was caught speeding 2 work and an officer gave me a warning and stated...."i'm just gonna give U a warning because one day...U might B my nurse at the hospital." so....what's your story?

My driving record ROCKS, man !!!
Last ticket I rec'd was for my motorcycle that wasn't registered. That was in 1994.
Before that was a fix-it ticket for a broken tail light in like 1992.
SPEEDING TICKET???.......I honestly don't recall....could be back in late-'70s or early-'80's and I fought that one and WON !!!

About 2 years ago I had this Ford Ranger pick up...4 speed. I was just cruising along down the highway. If I would get over 65 the damn thing would rock and rattle ..just a terrible noise. The speedometer didnt work right either...but with the rattling and all I could always tell when I was approaching 65 mph. The side view mirrors were broke....they would always fold up against the door...cause of the wind...summer time no problem..i could just roll window down and hold the mirror in place. The rear view mirror fell off...so I didnt have that either. Anyways here I was cruising right along and I had my stero up loud..to drown out the noise.. lol I see lights flashing off my windshield ..turn around to look behind me and its a state cop. So I pull over. He walks up to me and says....ummm going somewhere? I said yes back to work. He said "Been following you for about 3 miles now..trying to you to pull over" I said Oh Im sorry, ummm rear view mirror fell off..( i proceeded to reach over in my passenger seat to show him the mirror) and my side view mirrors...i have this screw wedge in there but they still seem to want to flap shut....... He kinda smiled....and said...well looks like you gonna need to get those fixed. Does all of your lights work? I said ummm dunno..im always on the inside of the truck....never have followed it going down the road. He said well you have a brake light out too. I said Oh...didnt know that. ( im like sitting here thinking OH sh*t...ticket for sure) So I ask him ...is that why you pulled me over then? He said no...I clocked you about 4 miles back going 70. Do you realize what the speed limit is here? I said yes...its 55mph. WEll dont you think you were going over that just a lil bit? I was like umm no...because if i get over 65 the thing just rattles all over the place....i cant drive that fast. He was liek well your spedometer will show how fast you going wont it...? I said ummm no ..its broken too. It reads about 10mph less than what im actually driving. He said " Well buddy looks like youre in just a world of a mess" I said I know...gonna cost me a fortune to get all this fixed...not to mention the ticket im about to get. He just kinda chuckles and says well, I will make you a deal....if you go get all that stuff fixed...come check back in with me in a week...i wont give you a ticket. I said really!!!!!! Sure....just get em fixed and come see me on Friday. I said heck yeah i will...talk to you later. ......spedometer...nothing ever wrong with it....it was fine...i knew that....sideview mirrors...already had them bought...just aint put them on yet....rear view mirror...just fell off that day...had package of glue in the glove box...just aint had time to put it on yet....and extra brake light bulb in glove box too. So I think I got off pretty cheap...dont ya think...lol

2 years ago on a little country road near where I live. I passed two young girls that were 20 MPH under the speed limit. I did pass them on a double yellow line on a long straight stretch. The cop pulled me right over and said"You were 15 miles an hour over the speed limit". I said yeah but i was passing those girls going 20 MPH UNDER the speed limit. He just laughed and said......."On a double yellow". I just said" Looks like it isn't my day because i actually let those girls out onto the road a few miles back because they couldn't get out in traffic. He said" What were you thinking?" I replied" Apparently I wasn't". We both cracked up laughing.
He was cool and didn't give me the ticket for the illegal pass and limited the ticket to 10 MPH over the limit. Still cost me over $100....

I'm afraid to answer because I might get pulled over on the way home...
I have not had a speeding ticket since high school and back then I only got one. I was hauling ass to work because baseball practice got over late. The cop pulled me over in my work parking lot because he couldn't catch up with me to pull me over...lol. It was a real treat to all my co-workers. He said he saw me leave the high school speeding and followed me the whole way, but I hit every light just right so it was hard for him to catch up. Then when I hit the freeway I was doing about 90 (I had a Camaro). He said that he was knew I was speeding but was never able to clock me so he gave me a ticket for doing 65 in a 55. He also said it was because I was honest with him and had a clean record.
The last time I got pulled over for speeding I was just south of Richmond, VA doing about 85 MPH on the way up to DC from Chesapeake, VA. The state trooper pulled me over the first thing he asked was, "You in a hurry?" I didn't say a word and then he asked "License and Registration please." I then handed him my license and rental car agreement. He just looked at me and said, "Son, we don't drive as fast out here as you Californians. Slow down from here on out as I'll be following you for a while." I said, "will do" and continued on up. Man, that was a close one!

Actually it's been awhile (knock on wood).... The last time that I recall getting one, I was visiting back in my home town and I was in a low speed zone. I had the stereo cranked and didn't ever see or hear the officer until I had to stop at a light and while I was jamming in my car, the officer walked up and knocked on my car window. (OOPS!!!)

Sophmore in college I got a ticket for going 85 in a 70 on my motorcycle. I had a 1986 Honda Magna 1100cc. That bike had a ton of power. It had so much power the 800lb bike got 33mpg. I believe the ticket was for $180 and I paid a little more to take the online course to keep my insurance from seeing it.
Another time the speed limit increased from 55 to 70 and the cop in front of me on the interstate was still going 55. So I sped up to 70 and passed him in the left lane. He pulled me over and told me it's still 55. I told him the exact spot where the 70 mph speed limit sign is and offered to go back with him to see it. He decided to just let me go.
I got stopped again going through a speed trap. I wasn't speeding but I had a headlight modulator on my motorcycle (where the headlight flashes constantly for higher visibility). The officer never saw anything like it before and thought I was trying to warn other drivers of the speed trap. Once he saw how it worked he let me go also.
Why can't officers know the law they are trying to enforce?
