Thanks to my Sly bros in here, I am able to use Headslick shave cream which has worked the best for me of the dozens of shaving lubricants that I have tried.

The two that work best for me are HeadSlick and Bald Guyz Shaving Gel.  Though, I'm also a big fan of Pacific Shaving Oil. Those are what I use in the shower.

Out of the shower, I also like Bold For Men.

Headslick is the standard for me.  I also sometimes combine it with Shave Secret.  On occasion I'll use Bald Guyz, but it drys out my skin if I use it several days in a row.

I used Edge Gel for years but switched to Headslick when I noticed that my bathroom sink was getting stopped up frequently.  The Headslick works well and the drain stays clear longer (though it is starting to slow down again lately), but I miss the nice stiff foam that you get with the gel.  Tried Barbasol once but did not like it at all.

I just use some Edge Shaving gel with a little bit of baby oil before I apply the gel.  Seems to work good.

I'm waiting for my Mach3 gel to run out so I can try something new... I'm not a huge fan! I dunno where to get Headslick anywhere in Oz, so I dunno what i'll try next. Gillette Fushion gel or King Of Shaves may be??

Cam unfortunatley there are no retailers that I know of in OZ that sell Headslick. Shaver Shop sells Headlube and the Headblade razor.

A great shave gel you can get in Woolies or Coles is King Of Shaves Alphagel and its little brother Alpha oil. They are a great product and give you a good 30-40 shaves from 1 tube.

Hey Hyperceo, welcome! The Barbasol Gel is a great product when you combine price & effectiveness. I used to use it for my face, but can't seem to find it around here recently. If I could, I'd probably go back to it. I'm currently using HeadSlick, but I add a little Barbasol Shave Cream after I apply HeadSlick...seems to help a little with the razor clogging you get with HeadSlick.

Enjoy the Forum!

hypeceo....a few of the sly brahs have used hair conditioner (during emergency when they ran out) & it worked fine.  i haven't tried it out yet because  i keep an extra bottle of headslick & i sometimes use dove (unscented) soap also.  the dove soap is cheap & it keeps my dome smooooth & slick.
