Getting In Shape For The Presidency
« on: January 04, 2008, 07:13:01 AM »
Yesterday, while watching the results of the Iowa caucus, I noticed Chuck Norris standing behind Mike Huckabee. So I said to myself, who is this Huckabee and why is Norris supporting him for the presidency? Judging from the first pic, I can easily assume the NRA has something to do with it.

Man, Huckabee was FaaaT!!
He lost over 100 pounds to get into shape for this run for the presidency.

Now all this guy needs is a headshave to complete his transformation!

Guess the above photo is a campaign photo, 'cause this one is more realistic.
Minus the guns, but with his jowls, bags, and wrinkles.

I think I would have liked the fat Huckabee better.
Looked more like a regular Joe! More approachable. O0

In the past, our presidents were fat and bald.
Why is that no longer acceptable?
And why does everything have to be "airbrushed"?

Does Rudy Giuliani fit the image?

Don't think this guy ever had a weight problem.
He had significant wife and hair problems though.
Tried to remedy it. Ditched the wife, the comb-over and got remarried.
Still has a major family problem, his daughter is supporting Barack Obama.

A headshave could turn his luck around. 8)

I am sure that one reason the Chuck Norris is supporting Huckabee is that Chuck is a Conservative Evangelical Christian as is Huckabee.  Huckabee is a former pastor who before becoming Governor of Arkansas was the head of a independent Christian TV station in Little Rock.

In the spirit of keeping with the guidelines of this board and not discussing religion and politics too much, I do know other Evangelical Christians that have their faith interact differently.  Some of their political leanings happen to be Liberal Democrat.

I have been in AR for 5 years and our former Gov Huckabee I believe was alleged to have lost the weight from the Lap band surgery

Good on him for losing 100lbs.

Presidential canidate or not, that is a massive feat and I applaud him for doing it.

I wish to lose about 75lbs.(I currently weigh 220)
