Well, it's been nearly two weeks and the wife is not budging 

She says she hates the look, has never liked bald men and is withholding certain necessary activities until the hair is growing back  ....

After twenty years of marriage, and me doing plenty of crazy things, I've run into a wall with this one.  She's serious.

The big problem is I realy like the look, low maintenance and the feeling of being a little different.  I'm digging the slyness!

So, if you've been through this, can I wear her down, or should I give up now?

My wife ASKED me to shave my head clean after I was growing it out for our wedding...

so, I think Schro went through the same thing as you...

but you know if being bald makes YOU happy, that's something to consider..

Hey NCBlue, Andre is right. The Lovely Mrs. Schro hated the look when I did the deed one year ago. Unfortunately, she still does. But for me, shaving my head has finally given me relief from a bad scalp condition that has afflicted me all my life (sebhorreic dermititis). Many SBG's have gotten similar relief from dandruff, itchy scalp, etc. For that reason, I plan on stying sly the rest of my life.

I really wish my wife liked the look, but she doesn't. Frankly, I've grown to accept this and don't feel like battling her anymore. When she makes a snide comment on the look (which is happening less & less these days b/c she realizes my look isn't going to change), I just remind her that I like the look, I like the relief from my SD condition, and I'm sorry she can't get on board.

Just give her time, NCB and be polite about it. You can only hope she'll get behind it over time. Don't "force" her to like it.

Two weeks ain't that long.....it's not like yer wanting her to get used to a second wife or mistress of yours coming into the picture.

Has she ever changed her hair style....or some other "style"?  I bet you were 'flexible'.

My wife has never been crazy about it....but she's happy to see me diggin' it.  The only thing she is hard-lined about is that I keep the basic vandyk goatee (like in the pic).   She thinks that looks best with the bald look.

Give it more time....let her know how much you like it....how can she argue with that?

Mine isn't happy, but she's slowed down on the bad comments.  NC, why don't you take her out to a nice dinner, show her that you're the same, just happier now.  I'm happy when my spouse is happy, and I want to her do the same, this makes me happy, so please let it be--sort of thing.  It isn't so much of a conflict, as showing her that this is what makes you happy, and that you do things to make her happy that aren't necessarily what you would do, absent her.  It's a marriage, not a contest.

Plus, I just colored my facial hair (no more gray), so I've got to give this "new" look some time!  I'm digging it right now!

If your hair (or lack thereof) is driving a wedge in your relationship, compromise may be in order.

On the other hand if it were me, I would make her ask herself "Why doesn't he love me for who I am on the inside?"

If I ended up growing my hair (would never happen in my situation but... hypothetically..) god help her if she gained a pound, didn't shave her legs or got a bad haircut.

Yup, just stand firm. Maybe she'll come around, maybe not. My wife still asks me to grow mine back. I just politely remind her it ain't gonna happen.

Well.  This IS a personal grooming/lifestyle forum.  However, we seem to visit the personal relationship area with great frequency.  That said, your situation sounds very familiar situation.

Red Flag:  sexual blackmail so cupcake can get her way?  Oh HELL no!!!  This isn't about your head, this is about power in the relationship.  I won't bore you with MY response to this tactic, but you might want to really analyze what game is being played here.
