Jeez Sarge, that's some pretty big pockets you gotta be having!  :o

Well, it's really not near as much as most women carry and I wear Levi's.  ;)  And I don't need a big bag to put it in either!  O0

I do have to say, when my pants hit the bedroom floor... they do it with authority!  :*))

I'm inclined to agree with you there, although I prefer to travel light!  ;)

I can't help thinking about the phrase "is that a gun in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?"
when I look at all your uhm... essentials.  :D

Someone asked, why we carry here in church...... here is a fresh new artical from Knoxville, Tn:

Man Charged in Tenn shooting that killed 2

It is a very sad day indeed, that at every turn we do need or feel the need to protect our family, loved ones and self.

I can only say that I carry, because I can't put a cop in my back pocket.

I would love to own that nice 1911 there Sgt, but for the light carry I prefer my S&W 637 Airweight for it's lightness and yet still very effective with shotplacement.  But we probably live in two differant types of urban enviroments.  I have thought about moving up into a Karh but we will see.

I own a few others in .45 acp and .44 Mag but these are too large to carry comfortably for conceal carry during the summer heat.

Plus, you have to be able to get it out fast and be able to put a shot on target. When the flight or fight response goes off most people are terrible shots and forget about it if they get the drop on you. No gun in the world will save you then.

That's a sweet pistola J_B!

The 1911 I carry is a 4 1/4" and has a "scandium" frame and really isn't very heavy, especially in a good concealment holster like the Milt Sparks VersaMax-II.

I can draw and deliver two torso shots in under 2 seconds from concealment.  Hopefully if the defecation hits the ventilation my muscle memory will work faster than my aging brain!  ;D

I'm heading down to Front Sight in southern Nevada in October for a 4 day class to improve my shooting skills.  It's no vacation, a lot of work but also a lot of fun.  O0

Sgt Pate

Front Sight is good training, I get their newsletter all the time.  Later on this year I will be getting another good semi auto carry firearm.  I need something that is much thinner than my current .45 acp as it is not the caliber that I don't like, but the one I have is better suited for range/home defense than conceal carry.  But it allows me to stay up on tactical drills etc.

Well one good thing J_B, you'll have LOTS of choices!  ;D  Anything in particular that you're looking at?

If I had the loot I'd probably have several more handguns than I do.  They're kinda like women... I want to try them all!  :*))

Well if you saw my BA Mean picture you'll see that is a Hi Point JH 45acp... hey don't laugh it was free from my brother in law and it shoots to POA and goes bang everytime I pull the trigger... dang I just can't bash these Hi Points any more like I used to.  I kind of like these ugly pistols and may just pick up the C9 in 9mm O:O

When I was an SO the county was so poor they wouldn't buy us a good close quarter semi auto like an MP5 so we purchases some of the HP 995 9mm Carbines for a fraction of the cost and never had a problem with them.

The nice thing about handguns or rifles, they don't get jealious like women do when you handle another  :*))

Yep, I got several I want to be looking at.

CZ 97B 45 acp
Tangfolio/EAA 10mm
Sig 45 acp
Karh 45 acp
S&W MP45
Glock (maybe again as I have owned many in the past) 45 acp or 10mm
How ever I am not under gunned with either a 9mm or a .40 cal

As a non-LEO now, double stack hi cap mags is not an issue.  I had once held a very nice smoothed out 1911 style believe it was a Kimber but all the sharp edges were buffed out.... very nice  :@`

I am resurrecting this thread because I found it by searching it out.

I also put a new thread up about me but to answer the question on the thread,

YES YES YES I AM INTO GUNS.

I am hoping to have my NRA instructor cert. by October or November.

I have a YouTube channel:  http://www.youtube.com/user/Az1911fan?feature=mhee  Where I show my guns' range visits and other stuff. Please only stop by if you are positive about guns' and the 2A rights.

Subscribe if you want, Like and comment on the video's and private message me that you are from SBG.

Shoot safe guy's.
