Well I haven't posted on this in quite awhile. First the good news, the diabetes is still in check. The bad news, the Triglycerides are still bad. I had also gained 9 pounds from the 31 I had lost. To refresh you all, I was 245 and got down to 214. I had gone up to 223.
Well more good news, I have started eating better again and keeping a journal. I also started back to the gym. I also have a temporary summer co-worker who is encouraging me. It is my boss' 17 yr old nephew. This young man likes me a lot and is real kind. He was also in the Rock and Roll half marathon this past June. So he wants me to do that next year. We will see if I do that, but I need to be faithful in the small steps. So that is the goal right now!
I will keep you all posted!

Well, I have finally broken through my plateau! To recap, a year ago in Sept, I was 245. By April of this year, I was 214. I then fell off the weight loss wagon. I had gained 7 pounds and went up and down with that. Then I added a extra 2 pounds to the 7 I had lost. Well, I have been back to the gym and exercising again and eating right. I am now 213 lbs. So I am feeling encouraged that I will eventually get to my goal of 165!

I own a personal training studio, and have been training people for 13 years now. I normally dont do this, but if you have any specific questions, feel free to send me a pm. I feel obligated to help my fellow bald buds.

Well, as many of you know, I recently had surgery. But I am happy to say that I am now 210 pounds with help from a diminished appetite! But I did get back into the gym today and did a half hour on the eliptical. I should note that the surgeon only wants me to do cardio for the next 6 months and no weight lifting. But I am going to get back to cardio! I am going to make 2011 into the year that I restore my health!

Just a quick update. I haven't lost any more weight. Nor have I gained. But I have been to the gym twice this week so far. Appetite has come back. But while I have had some small stumbles I am eating less than I was. Just need to get back into exercise more regularly. Also I should say that recently I redeemed a $50 Target gift card and bought 3 pairs of jeans. The good news is that I was able to go down two sizes. Also, since my surgery, it is now second nature to hold my gut in! I guess you could say I am encouraged!

OK...here is the update! After surgery, I ultimately did get down to 207. But then I gained up to 230. But I have started exercising and eating right again. So I am now down to 219. But I have also started a blog journaling my weight loss and health journey, among other things! So have a read!

Don't feel bad, marsh! Due to the ridiculous string of 100+ days down this way, I couldn't get out and do my evening walks. And it shows -- about 18 lbs worth of show!
As soon as things cool down (it was 103ºF today) I'll be getting back on the program!

Thankfully for me I have a cheap gym membership. So it is air condioned in there. But soon, they will probably have to turn on the heat. We just got through with some warm humid days. But now it is cooler and rainy! But whatever the weather, I need to keep with the program!
