I have a problem with -pasta - -I could eat it at every meal   but now  - -  once a week

Look for Dreamfields brand pasta, it has reduced available carbs--not that you can eat it at every meal, but it has about 10% fewer calories than other brands and I can't tell the difference.

Saintc,

Thanks for the info on the pasta.  It lists several of the store I shop at as having carried it.  So I hope that is accurate.  But at least I can get it online!

Today I have hit the 22 POUND weight loss mark!  To me, even a small amount of weight loss is a victory for me!  The last 3 weeks I have made my goal of exercise at least 4 times a week.  I have already been twice this week!  I know that there will be some times of plateau and maybe some gain.  But if I generally keep going in the downward direction, I will be happy!

22 lbs is no small goal Marshall.  Great job.
I'll preface this by saying I'm not a trained physical fitness expert.  If you are having big losses of body fat/overall weight you might plateau at some point.  Are you doing cardio or weight training or both?
The key to avoiding the plateau is to build more lean muscle by training with weights in addition to cardio to just burn the calories off.
Diet is big too of course.  Get enough protein and fiber(mostly from veggies/fruits) to fill yourself up, and limit carbs, fats and sugars.
If you must eat some carbs, only eat them when your body has a blood sugar deficiency and can really use them (first thing in the morn, and right after a workout).

You want to increase your muscle, which will increase your passive calorie burning.
The other way is to constantly build upon your routine, and vary the exercises/muscles you use in order to keep shocking your body to lose the fat.
Congrats and continued good luck!

Good job Marshall! Keep at it. Have you had any sort of body composition testing done?
.....the quiet brightness of the city disconcerts. Somewhere malfeasance percolates. There is work to be done.

Early in time, 2006, when you were still below fbg 126, you said you were 220#, so it is a little shy of 10%.  Another 10%-15% may do the trick.  The Goal is there, you can make it.  Keep at it.

On Thursday, my dear stepmother told me about a Oprah show about Diabetes.  I was not near a TV to watch it.  But I went on her website and found a lot of good info about it.  So if anyone is interested in what Diabetes is and what it does to your body, please read this:

By the way, I am headed to the gym after this!
