We had all the in-laws over on Xmas day(15) plus some other friends, overall a wonderful day. My better half got me a nice acoustic guitar which I totally was not expecting.
As usual, the Christmas season builds up, pinnacles, you share some great times and gifts and then you pack up the decorations and tree and its over for another year. Each year is the same, but yet I never get used to it. -

WHAT DID I GET FOR CHRISTMAS? lets see ... after working boukou hours christmas eve,(10a till 5p one job then 7p-7a other ) and getting into bed 730a christmas morning I GOT TO start answering the phone at 830 people wishing me a MERRY CHRISTMAS

and about every 20 minits there after ! THEN... at noon the BOSS calls me , and wants me BACK in at 3pand work till 7a tommorow morning = 16 hours THATS what i got
I got to talk to a sly brother, actualy a couple of them over christmas, 2 people i've never really gotten to talk to before, and that was neat they are both pretty cool fellas.
as for physical gifts, i got the book Beowulf with both the poem and the history of the anglo saxons and the danes of the time period, the movie the Jungle Book ( I love diseny cartoons), Ghostbuster 1 and 2 dvd set, the simpson's movie, a few sweaters, and a magnetic drill bits set by black and decker.and a gift, and i got a nintendo wii gift card. So in the new year i'll be getting my WII. That is so exciting i've wanted one for 100 years. and now finally i get one. -

Oh I got a new wallet for christmas too...wait....huhhhhhhhhhh whats this??? Well where did that come from. There is a gift card in here.....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crap....look what it says...it says this gift card is to Frost.....for a new Wii..............................shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no body tell him.......but its mine now. LOL

The wife and I gave each other MP3 players put them in the stockings.
The usual fare from "mom & dad" to the kids.
Surprised the wife with a gift certificate to a local day spa....2 hours of pampering (massage, facial, etc...) -

all i got was 500 hundred US dollars cash, and about about 200 US dollars in gift cards, and christmas eve, christmas day and boxing day off from work, i was born in canada so i call the day after thanksgiving boxing day.

Australia celebrates Boxing Day too. I haven't found 1 Australian who is able to tell me accuratley why it is even celebrated in British Commonwealth countries nor the significance of it.

Boxing day was the day the Rich boxed up the left over meal and any thing they no longer needed and gave it to the poor. So the rich new it as "boxing" day and for the poor it was christmas.
