Hello guys. My name is Josh and I'm 25. I just wanted to introduce myself after finding this group. I've been thinking about shaving my head for around 2 years now and just did it for the first time 48 hours ago. I'm still a little self concious of the new look for two reasons. First being that it's such a difference from how it's been I'm not use to the look. Second, my head is really white. I know both concerns will be resolved sooner rather than later. Especially since I live in FL. I have to say that I love the feel of it. I haven't had much feedback from it yet, except my mom saying it looks awful, but what does she know?

Welcome and Congrats to you bro. Its only been 48 hours....you cant expect to have it perfect just yet. Just read up on all the post in here...loads of useful info in here. The whiteness will eventually fade....but you might want to check the Jergens topic in here.....that might work. Of course everyone is going to look at you differently because its their first time of them seeing you shaved slick. It will soon be unnoticeable.....after a few weeks you will begin to wonder what it felt like to have hair...you will sorta forget what it was like. This will all become natural to you . Just reading some of the post about in here tonight...it has got me thinking about when I did have hair and I cant imagine having it at all. It would feel to weird. Well bro Good Luck...it will be fun to watch your progress and to get to know you more. Hang in there...we are here to help ...the whole bunch is here for ya
See ya Timmy

Welcome from another newly shaven head! Mine is white as well, so I feel your pain!
Other than that, I'm really liking the look. Good luck getting some color on the noggin!

Josh, welcome to Sly Bald Guys!! Give it 30 days and I'm sure you'll be happy with the color of your head and the reactions that you get. We're here for any questions you may have.

Welcome, Josh, Glad you've joined in. I know it's hard to wait, but the color really will come in time. Till then, just enjoy the smoothness.

Welcome Josh!
Well the saying around here goes...
You can make a proper judgement if having a totally bald head is "YOU" after keeping it smooth for 30 days...
then you and those around you can be used to it...
glad you had the guts to go for it...
and you will 'even" up...especially in FL...but wear a bit of sun protection!

Welcome Josh and congratulations on your decision to go sly. It is a little awkward in the beginning, but most of us have found it addictive, over time.
I've been sly for 3.5 months and it's been a life-changing experience for me. I saw a bunch of nieces and nephews last night for the first time since going sly and their opinion overall was that I look like a bad ass now. Nice to get approval from teenagers. They don't sugar-coat.
Enjoy your slyness ...

Welcome aboard Josh... responded to you over on GT. These are the best bunch of guys and gals on the planet!
We've either all been through or are going through what you are and believe me, it all passes. It takes time for you to get used to the new look and others a little longer. But man, it's worth it!
You came to the right place!

Welcome, you're going to love it
Side note, Christmas with all the family was great especially when the topic of hair came up, and my family all started discussing how they're going grey, thinning and all that other stuff
I told them I could give them a Fusion Razor for Christmas and solve all their problems, they envyed me for the first time, ha ha ha
Merry Christmas
