I went to Rite Aid today to get some more Headslick. There's a CCTV camera and monitor aimed right at the front door. I always like to catch a glimpse of my noggin when I enter stores that have this setup. Today, however, I very nearly had a heart attack when I looked at the monitor and saw an overhead shot of a dome that had what can only be described as a black marble design all over it. I was like, "WTF happened to my head?" Before I could freak out entirely, I realized that I was looking at a shot of the guy who entered the store right in front of me. MPB guy with the "islands" thing going on on top. Desperately needed to go sly. Better him than me.

Ya know...when I see someone with a combover or something...i get into trouble with my wife..cause she will catch me staring at them. I like dude....SHAVE IT OFF. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU FOOLING?! YOURSELF.....everyone else thinks you look like a freakin retard! LOL... I should just start walking around with one of those FLOWBIES attached to my back like a back pack and when i approach someone ...flip that baby on ...and just suck all their hair up in it and chop it off!

I think we all have an amazing capacity for self-denial. It's hard to see ourselves as others do. It's not until you catch an unexpected glimpse in the mirror or a snapshot that was taken when you weren't ready that you can see those flaws sometimes. -

you are onto something there razor. i recently saw some pictures of myself shortly before i went sly. holy crap, it was worse than i remembered. so glad i shaved.

We are creatures of habit. I didn't choose to wear a combover, it just happened. When I was a kid, my parents decided that a proper boy's haircut was parted on the left and tapered at the sides and back. So from the fifties and into the sixties, they kept getting me the same haircut, and I just never thought to change it.
It gradually turned into a combover as the hair on top slowly fell out from underneath the hair that was combed to the right of the part. The combover was never planned, it started as a classic style. I just stayed with it too long. -

Boy did that hit home, I was tying my tie to go to work when I saw the window behind me, THROUGH MY HAIR. That was about two months before trying the buzz, only to ultimately realize that I'd waited too long, another victim of MPB.
We need to work on some opening line to talk to these guys who are in trouble. I certainly wish I could have talked to some "live" in the flesh guy, but at least I had found this place. Really need to work on the MPB sensitivity and being able to open them up. -

I saw a guy at the mall recently with a triple combover. Had a part on each side, combing over the top of his head and had a part toward the bottom of the back of his head combing up and over the top. I was tempted to slip him a note, BEGGING him to shave off that triple charade.
