Well, a month and a half later...
« on: December 08, 2007, 02:34:45 AM »
I'm convinced.
So, yeah, I'm shaving it every day, more or less, and am a huge fan. I got over the occasional knick in the beginning, now I don't even cut myself anymore, which is a nice little side benefit.

Reactions initially were just shock, which moved to general acceptance, with a few people VERY impressed. So far I have only had one person give me a neg reaction, but even that wasn't a negative, just a "Wow, you actually did it? Huh."

A couple of days ago, I was talking with a girl who had never seen me with hair, and for whatever reason, remarked that I needed to shave my head again. She replied that she couldn't even imagine me with hair. This got me thinking, and wow, I agree, even *I* think hair would look weird on me now. I'm just so used to it, I can't imagine anything else.

And yes, head rubs are awesome. :)

So, yeah, I'm very impressed. Only negatives are cold (solved by my beanie) and it hurts more to hit your head on something. Apart from that, it's awesome.

That's all. :)

You sure you arent another TimmJ?  Sounds like everything I went thru.  And Yes..waht is it about hitting your head now?  I never use to hit my head....now I bump it on everything.  I think my hair use to act as sensors...they would alert me to duck..bend, stoop or what ever to avoid hitting something.  I dont know how many times I have walked thru the furnace room ( yeah thats where I burn the dead bodies) and never hit my head on the duct work..but now I hit it all the time...like someone moved it or something. LOL

Awesome story, NewShaver.  It's great that you're having such a positive experience.  I haven't had to deal with hitting my head as much.  Seem like I was always hitting it before.  I think I'm just more careful now.  But, I do agree with you on the cold.  Finally got a hat I like to wear this week.  Still hate to cover up the dome, but at least for the times when I'm out in the cold, it'll have to do.

Awesome to hear of another contented member of the fold Newshaver.  Post up a pic when you get a chance so we can put a face with that satisfied name.

HEY TIMM, i just figured out why you keep bumping your head !  remember , they say the LESS hair ya have the more HEAD you get, WELL... your head is thicker than your hair so it IS taller than before , either that OR your heads gettin bigger because your brain is gettin BIGGER ?   nah , thats NOT IT !  (jus check yer spelen  :*)) )

Hey that's really WIERD :D  The bumping head thing happens to me all the time now.  Before i went sly it WAS like yer hair acts as sensors to stop yer head gettin too near things, but now I'm always doin it. :D :D

Yeah, newshaver: glad you're enjoying the SLY life.  Keep at it. bro O0
