Most breeders, rescue groups and shelters won't place puppies with people at Christmas time. There are too many other things going on -- people coming and going, and too many things to get into -- food, presents, Christmas trees, etc. and it's hard to get a puppy on a routine and give it all the attention that it needs. It's usually better to wait until after the holidays when the household is back to normal.
you telling me razor. way too much here. but we still have the rat. only pleasure i am getting is the fact that this little thing will be spoiled by the time they get it. sis-in-law will have to deal with that. ha ha ha lots of teenagers around here. and teenage girls like to spoil puppies. [don't even go there robbie. i have two teenage boys]

The chihuahua is not one of my favorite breeds, either. Nasty little things.

Great thought there .... people forget a puppy IS NOT a toy
I have always had big dogs. My dad had labs when I was growing up and when I got my own place I got a Rottwiller / German Sheppard mix (Sam) that was my dog for 14 years. He passed away in February (R.I.P.).
After some months the wife and I decided to get another dog. After really thinking about it and doing my fair share of research I got a 13" Beagle.
Not a big dog but not a toy yip yap dog either.
Hannah and I are inseparable and she is a great little dog.
I have always had small dogs! We have 3 min. wienie dogs!
1 of them was a rescue from destruction!
