Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know that since I've been working in the office, I've gotten alot more Head Rubs. And now there is a girl at work who wants to WAX my head!! I reluctantly agreed, I know call me crazy, but I'm willing to give it a shot. However in order for my head to be waxed, I need to let my hair grow long enough so that the wax will have something to hang on to. So for the last week I've been letting my hair grow, I'm going to let it grow for another week or so then, I will get waxed.
I'm going to try and record it and post a video so you all can see what I am willing to go through to get a smooth dome!!
So does anyone have any advise for me??? The girl who is going to do it said that she will bring lots of wine to help numb the pain.

You need to let it grow out enough for the wax to be able to grab the hair, but be careful not to let it grow too long. I would imagine that there would be more pain involved when the hair is longer. I would think that one week would be enough.
Good luck ... you're a braver man than I am!

Razor...you really think longer hair would be more painful? The way I see it.....hair is hair....and when its pulled its pulled...hurts either way. I have given it some thought about waxing it...but I dont want to go thru the process of growing any of it back. I cant stand to let it go for 2 days let alone 2weeks...I would go nuts. Good luck in what ever you end up doing....I would do it.....if it werent for growing it out.

You can pull it out more quickly when it's shorter, so the pain shouldn't be as intense. You're right -- it's going to hurt, either way but you might as well minimize the pain if at all possible.

I think I will just grow it all out...put it in a pony tail...tie a rope around and it tie it to piano and throw it off a 10 story building...LOL
