Well it seems i don't have eczema, psoriasis, or the S. dermatitis... i have Ichthyosis...problem is...shaving the head wont really do anything, it will just keep coming back.
well... the hair loss could be because of that, but the doc thinks its just pattern baldness

I second that.
Everyone here has found relief from an itchy scalp, be it psoraisis, sebhorreic dermititis, dandruff, or whatever. What makes you think you're so special???
J/K bro.
Do what you think is best for your situation.

I would agree that it is worth a shot. There are enough guys here with similar issues who have found relief. Besides, maybe your dermatologist owns stock in Minoxidil... hmmm.

Shaving it smooth, at least for a while, will make it easier for you to apply lotions or topical meds that may alleviate the problem.

I was right:
From Dictionary.com:

Check out Emu oil. It does wonder for try skin and all types of skin conditions. I originally started using it on my lobes (they are stretched) to keep them oiled, stretchy and from drying out after cleaning. It's done wonders, not just for my lobes but all types of skin problems, sun burns, etc. It's definitely worth a shot, I use it on my face and head and it makes them look great.
