When I had my bachelar pad (many years ago), I had a fake tree. When Xmas was over, I dragged it in the walk-in closet, fully decorated. It was pretty damn convenient the next year -- just drag the tree out and plug it in ....
Growing up, we had a shiny aluminum tree. The spot light had a plastic wheel that rotated to make it blue, red and green. What a trip!! No telling what that thing would be worth now.

My mom just dropped off some Christmas ornaments from when I was a kid. I have a hand painted Spiderman ornament that I loved to hang. Though, the thing is pretty heavy so it has to go on a strong branch. I'll try to get a picture of it and post it.
Didn't know whether to post this here or in advantages & disadvantages, but it's more Christmas tree related!Just finished putting the lights on the natural tree, and no damn sap in the hair this year, a damp towel cleaned everything up neatly, sap doesn't get much of a hold on a shiny top! Every year, the morning after the tree, I had to really scrub the locks to get that damn sap out and lost more of the stuff than usual doing it. I'm loving it !
