I am pretty damn handy, I pretty much have done most of the remodels and fix it type things with my houses.

I'm the exact opposite of Marz.....

I call in an electrician to change out light bulbs....

Not that I'm inept....I can do things when I apply myself.....(Hell, I took an auto engine rebuilding course in high school)

it's just that I have NO DESIRE and LITTLE SATISFACTION in doing things myself.

My dad--bless his heart--when I was a kid, his idea of me helping him with home projects was to clean up the mess......no sh**

So my assumption is that it was instilled in me at an early age that home projects are NO FUN AT ALL.

Along those lines, I will not wash my car at home by hand.....always take it to a carwash.

Again, as a kid I remember my dad FORCING ME to help him wash his car at the DAMNEDEST TIMES....like when I was headed out to play with the guys.   "NOPE first ya gotta help me wash my car."  "AAAHHHH, dad...all the guys are going to the park"    "That can wait, son."

OMG, I've got issues ***sigh***

Since I rent, I call the Land lord and let them shell out thier money in costs. Where I work though, I'm usually the one who will try to fix first, before calling in the pro's. I've saved the boss alot of money. In return, when ever I need time off or my schedeul modified, I get it no questions asked.

I'm uselesser than i look when it comes to handy man stuff....

i have to put a new faucet on my kitchen sink, but i do not have any turn off valvues so i have to put them on too, and i also have to remove that same sinks drain pipes, and put them on too... i have the basin wrench, and the tube cutters the pvc pipes, and the new faucet.... but yet i still can't seem to muster up the confidence to do it.

there's alot I don't know, but I always try to figure it out. So far I been lucky, but one of these days I'm gonna probably light up like a X mas tree.  So if all of a sudden my replies/post just stop, it means I've become a crispy sly.

It's annoying though, at work, when ever something goes down everyone leaves it for me instead of at least attempting to figure it out. For instance we have two boilers at work. If the back one goes down, there's a simple chart that shows which valves to turn on/off to redirect the hot water. But no, let's shut the showers down for an entire week end and lose hundreds in profit because we're too friggin lazy to turn a lever, or read for that matter.

Sorry bout going off like this, but lazy people really chafe my panties!!! :Xo!
