Just did it
« on: November 18, 2007, 05:07:19 PM »
I saw this video the other day.  With this cool stud with a shaved head and some Girl singing about how he is sexy and what she wants to do to him.  If you care you can see the video here.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/sdFjP701xMA" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/sdFjP701xMA</a>

Anyway it put the idea in my head to give it  a buzz.  So I was reading this forum.  And I was going to post and put a pic and ask if I should shave it.  But the answer from everyone else who asks that question seems to be the same.

So I just did a #1 all around and it feels great.  I think this will be the new look for me.

I live in Bulgaria.
My name is Colorado (real name)
This forum is so cool.
I just buzzed it a few hours ago.
I am not ready for a bic shave at this point
I think #1 works good for me.

I haven't gone out yet with the new look yet,
I am looking forward to it though.

Colorado, welcome to Sly Bald Guys!  Glad you found SBG and are lovin' the new style.  I'm curious, how did you hear about Sly Bald Guys?

Welcome Colorado! If you think the #1 is liberating, wait until you take it down to the skin! Post up often.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

Looks good, Colorado (strange name for a bulgarian  :)). How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome to SBG's, Colorado. The buzz looks good on you, with time I'm sure you will want to take it down further. It's a progression once you get the bug.
Enjoy the forum, lots of good info and tips here, and a great bunch of guys to BS with too.     O0

Welcome Colorado. Before you put the razor to it check out others shaving techniques. Don't want your first shave to be with a bic!!!
Now that that is said ans as you stated, yes we will encourage you to try the slick dome. Once you experience it you will understand why we live it!  8)

So I have been 2 days with a #1 buzz and I am loving it.  I feel more confident, more handsome, my overall appearance is better, my walk is better, getting checked out more by the ladies etc. etc.  Really it was a great decision.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.  I am glad that I found this place and didn't end up in the combover, rugwearer, or worse transplant Horror show crowd.  To me they all seem like a miserable existence.

I did the bic shave a few years ago and was not too crazy about it.  However a week or so after a bic shave on me looks nice.  I am going to experiment with different levels between #0 and #2.  Also different levels of stubble.   I will make a photo and post it here when I find what works best for me.

to answer your questions:

I am 36 and Jewish originally from New York City

I live in Bulgaria for business reasons

I found this forum from a link on About.com
