I've told you before about my work colleagues that are hell-bent on destroying my self-confidence.  This one gal I work with who is two years older than I amm has recently started telling me that everybody thinks I am a lot older than she is (like the population in general is obsessed with how old I am.  Yeah, right).  Well, this week I got the last laugh when another woman at work who is about to turn 60 said to this gal, "Well, I'm about 10 years older than you are."    >:D >:D :*)) :*))

I am 26 years old and I have a running joke at my office where I tell all the new employees who start that I am 38.

Most will question it but some do believe me and that is what worries me.

As I smoked for 16 years, I believe this may have aged me unnaturally. Thankfully I quit last year.

I forget who said this; it was one of the former stars of Saturday night live

She said that when people ask her age (she's actuallly 35)  she tells them "I'm 50."
They say "Hey, you look great !

I'm not sure that I'd use the term "gal" to describe her ....   She's obviously very insecure...   Perhaps it's worth mentioning to her that you've been told that you've gotten more distinguished with age, and then ask if she's gotten similar comments.  :*))

One time when I just started a new job, there was this one guy who was in his early to mid 20s who just HAD to know how old everyone else was.  I was about 31 at the time and would not tell him how old I was when he asked because I knew it was driving him crazy.  Finally I told him I was 47 and his eyes just about popped out of his head as he said, "Wow, you look great!"
