Definitely try it for 30 days; the pale color will go away.  If nothing else, consider this an experiment to see what it's like to be shaved.  So, if for some reason down the road you develop hair loss, you'll know what to do and what to expect.  By the way, is your brother losing his hair?  You didn't mention what started him shaving.

My bro and I dared each other to get horseshoe flats like some of the other guys in JROTC a couple of years back and he didnt like the flattop and shaved bald and liked the look and easy maint.  I have to say I feel better about the look today,  everyone at school had positive comments.  And the shower after football practice took a fraction of the time,  no hair to wash and dry!

Great to hear it!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Kyle, glad to hear you're feeling more positive about the look. Give it some time like the other bro's have said. See how you feel after that. It really is much more clean and easy.
Good luck with your shaving, and if you need any tips just ask us.

stick with the look for 30 days

After two years of my older brother bugging to shave my head like his i finally gave in Saturday.  I let him buzz my hair and shave my scalp queball smooth.  After it was over my bro swept up my hair and put it a zip lock bag and said it was his "trophy".  Well so far I hate how it looks and my head feels "wet" all the time.  My bro has convinced me to stay shaved for a few weeks and get the feel of it.  His head shines and looks cool,  mine dosnt shine,  is snow white and has a five o'clock shadow even after is just had a fresh Mach3 over it.
Kyle
