I'm not a doctor, but I'd have to agree with ShySlyGuy on this one. Genetics is probably going to be involved here, but you could progress slower or faster than your relatives.

My dad has a high hairline, but not bald and both of my parents have always had thin hair. (no one in my family is bald though, just high forehead)- I also have a high forehead and somewhat thin hairOver the past week I realized that my hairline was higher than say a year or 2 ago (only about a fingertip, and i am pretty sure some has gone away).But the thing that bothers me is that it is that it receded in the normal recession spot, where balding occurs. Now I read that your hair matures and it looses a little in the area that I described.Here are my questions:Can you distinguish between this mature hairline and a balding hairline early?or once it starts receding it does not stop?
