I just had to shout it out, We're #1. I just hope we don't fall to the curse of the #1's like the rest have.

I'm as thrilled as anyone that THE Ohio State Buckeyes are #!, but the prestige just doesn't seem to be there right now. With all the upsets the past three weeks, they better not let their guard down. And to be ranked right up there with....South Florida???

nomad.... b careful because the past 3 weekends a top ten team has lost. just look at LSU & CAL both #1 in the country. it seems that no one is invincible.

Prior to the start of the season, I never thought Ohio State had a chance for number one again, in part due to their schedule. It seemed like Jim Tressel was snubbing the national ranking by scheduling three northeast Ohio teams, Youngstown State, Akron, and Kent State. But here they are Number One again! I have a vested interest in all these teams:
My daughter graduated from Ohio State with a degree in social work.
My son attends Kent State majoring in electronic media.
I graduated from Akron with a degree in transportation.
I work in Youngstown where most of the upper management went to Youngstown State, They all have a picture of themselves with Jim Tressel when he coached at YSU.

THE Ohio State Buckeyes are STILL #1. And all the rest are stumbling over themselves to see who will be second best.
And Mount Union beat John Carroll 53-0 for their....I lost count, 60 some wins in a row.

Can't wait to see OSU and Michigan; it will really tell us if that #1 is for real, but don't overlook Illinois. They would like to do nothing but pull an upset with OSU looking to Michigan the following week... probably won't happen since it's in Columbus, but with this crazy year, you never know.
