I love AHL hockey. They just seem to try harder to get to the NHL and make it that much more fun to watch.
If any of you are in the Chicago to Milwaukee area and want to attend a game, PM me and let me know...as the season has begun.
I can get 4 complimentary tickets per game and plan on making a few trips to Milwaukee to see them beat up on the Milwaukee Admirals.
Rockford has joined the league and division...they moved from Norfolk and happen to be the Chicago Blackhawks farm team(ironic how they seem to have a better farm team, than what they put on the ice at the United Center).
I can go on and on, the games are always a blast! The intro at the All-State arena is better than most NHL team's(music, pyrotechnics, lasers, etc)...

Here is their schedule...

I think minor league hockey is more fun. The guys are more concerned with trying their best so they can move up, and aren't focused on the big bucks.
The Lake Erie Monsters are starting their first year in the American Hockey League this year. Cleveland hockey goes back to 1936, the first year of the AHL, with the Barons, the Lumberjacks, the Barons again, and now the Monsters.
I'm with ya on that Arnie. If you or any other bro wants to catch a Rockford Ice Hogs game in Rockford let me know. Fans are awesome and its a lot more fun that fighting Chicago traffic to enjoy a game.
