People may initially react to you one way based on how you look, but once you open your mouth or make eye contact ... you start communicating who you really are. Anybody who doesn't let the second part happen (i.e. too hung up on how you look to hear who you are) isn't worth dealing with.
Nothing says 'God loves you' more than a bald man in mirrored sunglasses.

Good move Steve ....    You should consider shaving it all the way down, next.    Maybe add a goatee and some sunglasses ...

When I started to shave my head, there was little reaction, and even these people got accostumed soon to my bald look. Most of the reactions were positive and some people even said I looked better without hair.

Steve, I agree with all the other bro's, looks great and definitely a change for the better.
Way more masculine. And as far as what people think, as long as it's what you like, and want, that's all that matters. Feels great, doesn't it!   O0

"Duran Duran" look  :*)).

Exactly what I was thinking.

Girlfriend was upset, and so were my parents. But they'll get over it!

That's right, they'll have to get over it.  It's your life.

Gotta say that your buzz cut is a major improvement, and think how easy it will be maintain.  The old you looks like it took a lot of effort to maintain.  Let us know if you decide to shave it slick, but at least keep your hair short like that for a month, so you can get a better idea whether to keep it or not.  Obviously you know what we think you should do.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Steve ...why did you get rid of the pic?  It was awesome to show the transformation.  Even though you look better now than the pic...but I enjoy seeing the transformation of people.  You rock the look bro...good call.

are you hiding something ?  Bro...if you are afraid of others seeing you...you have to stand up and do waht makes you feel good.  Not what others think. It doesnt matter what they think as long as you feel good about it.  I know it is somethign that you will have to get use to, but let me tell ya...after about 2 weeks of shaving it...your confidence will be built way up.  I would hate to see you go  back..but if that is what makes you happy...then go for it.  But you really do look good wiht it shaved.  Keep us posted Steve.

Steve, welcome to Sly Bald Guys!  I got here too late, so I can't comment on the pic.  Glad you find the look liberating.

Hi. Not ashamed of anything, no. Just a general reluctance to leave any pics on the Internet for too long. That would be true for whatever "look" I have.

My folks are OK-ish with it now!
