compliment from a stranger
« on: September 21, 2007, 10:32:45 PM »
Wife and I were standing in a food line at a local festival, and we struck up a conversation with a couple behind us.  The talk turned to military matters.  The guy was a Korea War vet.  I mentioned that I had spent some time running ammo up and down the gun line at Yankee Station in the Gulf of Tonkin.  He said I looked too young to have been in Vietnam.

I guess getting rid of the gray hair has some advantages...

Wow, that's cool!  Very good advantage indeed.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Amen, brutha !!!

At my bartending gig the issue of age pops up every now and then.  Most folks are surprised at my age....say they would have guessed ten years younger.

Look at Paul, man....you'd never know he's pushin' 70  >:D

ten bucks on the old bald guy! ha ha knowing those two, they would just decide to go have a drink together and we would all lose our money. but then we could drink one with 'em.
