Posh women's salon shaved my head bald no going back now.
« on: August 29, 2025, 11:22:10 PM »
So my story starts out kind of embarrassing as a 43 year old man but also one of extreme transformation and maturity in the end. Until 2022 was always that guy with the boring plain short hair and clean shaven baby face until a woman which I owe most of the credit to my transformation to become bald convinced me to man up and let her have at me. I was accompanying my sister to this so-called renowned hairstylist mostly doing women's hair in the area and was just sitting there waiting for her to finish my sisters haircut. She assumed that I was also there for her service and asked me if I wanted a free consult. I thought that it couldn't hurt since I really was desiring to try something new at this point but I never could have imagined how I would walk out the door of the posh salon with my sister gasping in disbelief that day. The sylist said to me that she could think of a thousand different minor or major changes that I could make to improve my unruly basic jet black hair but that she would honestly recommend letting her do me a big favor and just shave my head bald and that I would greatly benefit from getting it all shaved off and having a smooth shiny scalp as a result. My sister urged me to just go for it and before I knew it the woman was buzzing away into my thick mane which I had all of my life up until that point and transformed me into a new person. The process wasn't too timely but definitely soothing once she got it all down to a short stubble and then proceeded to do a warm close shave finishing it off with a hot towel. She then applied a soft lotion massaging it into to my newly exposrd scalp
She then spun me around and displayed to me in the mirror as the bald-headed man that I chose to remain being to this day and likely will for eternity. I absolutely love rocking being bald and continue to use the same infamous hairstylist every weekend for the same routine bald shave I just described above. So while I have definitely been loving the freedom and maturity of being a bald man I have also been contemplating tossing out the safety razor and doing what a good handful of bald men eventually do and grow a beard to finalize my bald transformation and identity.

Welcome to the board.  Post a photo so we can see you smooth head.  Many of us do also have facial hair to compliment the smooth top, so give it a go and see how you like it.

Have you tried shaving it yourself at home?  Most of us that shave like to keep it smooth with shave very 1 to three days.  Waiting a week means you spend most of your time with very short stubble that feel like sandpaper.

May I ask how old you were when you had that first shave and how old are you now?

Hello I was 39 about to turn 40 when I was originally shaved bald. It was early 2022. I am now 43. While I do enjoy an occassional wet blade razor shave to the scalp like was done on that significant day for me, I came to prefer the longer amount stubble left by the bare blade of an electric trimmer or clipper compared to having nothing present above the scalp. And I see her once or twice per week because I am fine with a good amount of long stubble eventually showing I just never allow it to get past a #1 because to me 1/8 of an inch is no longer considered bald. And I really prefer having it done and supervised by a professional stylist preferably female. I just started growing a beard for the first time but it isn't long or big enough where I can be proud of how it looks in combination with my bald headed appearance. In the case of being overweight and never I will try to eventually show you some of my before and after pictures if I can find the sd card folder on my laptop which has them all. Once my beard gets fuller and bigger I will post an updated shot.

Welcome @Classicstar! I like your story. At some point during your transformation, were you thinking, "What the hell am I doing?"
I'm just an ordinary man living in a crazy, unordinary world!
