Visiting Family on Labor Day Story
« on: September 03, 2024, 05:00:50 AM »
Yesterday on Labor Day I went to see my older brother and his family. My younger sister arrived a bit after I did.

We were sitting outside chatting by the grill when we saw our mother arriving. Of course we greeted her as she walked in. Then my mother placed one of her hands on my smooth head that I had just shaved before driving to see my family.

She then said to me, but loud enough the others could hear, "Your head is so shiny! I noticed it as I walked in." Then I heard my sister adding, "Yeah, a bit like Mr. Clean", I guess in part because I was also wearing small shiny ear studs.

Was I upset or embarrassed by their comments? Not at all! In fact, I kind of liked  the comments, but especially the one about my head looking shiny and smooth.

I will definitely keep the sly look for a while, except that I will grow out some facial stubble. The only stubble I want to shave is on my head.

Bald by Choice since July 2023!  Having hair is overrated.

Nothing like a freshly shaved shiny head.
