Brand new foil shaver... simply doesn't work?

Sorry for a dumb question but I can't get any FOIL shaver to work.

I think it stops working when hair gets longer than 2-3mm. Is that normal?

The problem I got is that this happens in less than a day.

How do these things sell? Why can't I find any info on this?

I used to use a foil shaver but wouldn't work on hair that long.  You might think about getting  an electric clipper to take the hair down before using the foil shaver.

I use the Pit Bull shaver , use it every other or third day and have no problems.  Takes all of 2 minutes. But then the amount of hair you have makes a difference.
