Biggest Problem Area When Shaving.
« on: September 17, 2007, 08:36:38 AM »
It seems that no matter when I shave or what I shave with, I always have two problem areas that require a touch up to be totally smooth.  One is on the right/topside of my head (back where a part would end) and this big crease in the back of my head.  Both take extra work to remove the stubble and get totally smoothness.   I was just wondering what other bros might be having similar problems and what are your problem areas when seeking the perfect slyness?

What would make my shaving experience mo betta would be to simply stop with the front-to-back, back-to-front strokes (probably what yer saying, Yooper).

I have to finish up by going from the ears up to the top.  Then other strange angles that I only discover by rubbin the wet noggin every which way to find all the damn rough spots.

Actually, nothing on the noggin' is really all that difficult with the HeadBlade. I do touch up around the ears with a regular razor.

I have two problem areas ... (1) a dip at the crown of my head (2) a dip at the bottom of my neck.  I can get (2) smooth if I go over it at many different angles with a double blade (triples I found will never get this area) and with problem (1) I can NEVER get it 100% smooth  :'(  ... I have found that with the double razors I can get the dip on the crown 99% smooth as opposed to maybe 90% with the triples.  Gladly this area at least LOOKS smooth, but if I could only get it totally smooth I would be quite pleased.

My problem area is directly behind the tops of my ears.  Not so much the stubble but the bumps.  Can't seem to get rid of them.

There are two areas for me that I just can't get totally smooth. One is on the right side above the ear towards the top, and the other is the area towards the front of the ear where the hairline ends.
These two areas are most vexing for me, and I find myself having to keep going over with my double even after I do my cold rinse.
I have gotten much better with my HB, so I can get down pretty low now, which makes my cleanup much easier. Similar to X, I have a dip in the center that takes a bit more work, but if you tilt your head down, chin to chest, you can hit it better. And yes, I also agree; doubles let you get in closer than triples.

Right in the middle of the back of my head.  If I ever have a patch left, it's right there.
