Welcome mate, most of us wish we shaved earlier, I did a crew cut for years too, then grew it out when I started seeing someone, and it was actually her that first suggested it.
It depends where your hair it at but now at 33 I grow so little it doesn't worry me shaving a couple times a week, but a lot of guys love their daily shave, it's all a personal thing
