Headblade adaptor for Sensor style cartridges
« on: September 13, 2007, 12:11:09 PM »
Guys, I found out this morning that the black HB adaptor for the Sensor style cartridges are very fragile.
Went to grab my HB out of the cabinet and it slipped out of my hand, fell on to the counter ,(about a 24 inch drop) and of course the blade pops off, and along with it one of the connectors that the cartridge locks into. I guess if it hits just right, it cracks. Hard plastic will do that.

Unfortunately, you only get one adaptor in your new HB package. I will have to order some from the HB site.
Meantime, I will go back to the Atra plus, my "go to" blade.
Anyway, be careful handling your HB. Or keep a couple of spares around, which I am going to do now.

WOW yours broke?  I have dropped mine many of times in the shower and in the sink. Seems to still be fine.  I need to post a video of how you all can get the mach 3 blades to work on teh HB.  Has anyone figured that out yet?  Its not hard ...but hard to explain i guess.  Just let me know if anyone is still having trouble figuring out how to get the mach 3 on the HBSport.
See ya's

Oh by the way...its noon on thursdays...AND IM DOING GREAT ON THE NO SMOKING!

Tim, it must have landed just right and it broke off.
I ended up with three pieces, the blade, the adaptor and one side of the connector hinges.
I have dropped it before with the Atra blade on and it just popped off, no damage. Guess it was one of those things where it hits in a certain way and crack!, there it goes.

Just wondering if it happened to anybody else.

And keep up the good work, bro!, you are done with it!   O0

Yeah, I'm thinking it must have landed just right. My wife makes it a daily habit to drop mine and I've yet to have one break.  I know she drops it because she always replaces the blade backwards...LOL

Tyler, do you check each time before you shave now, or just start your strokes and realize you're not cutting anything? , lol.    ;)

Joe sorry to hear your adapter broke bro. I've dropped mine many times in the shower with both the Sensor and the Atra adaptor on and the cartridge has always just popped off.

Tim, I'll be waiting on that video...You made me ruin 2 Mach 3 blades last time :x! 5t*mp

Whew! thanks Frost, I was thinking I was the only one that this happened to.
I did drop it once before with the atra blade on and no problem, popped off.

Tim, how about a rundown on how you get the connector off of the Mach III first, (without cutting up our fingers!) then we can go from there. And which adaptor do you use?

Have you reimbursed JDog yet for the blades?? and what about PB?  ???  lol.

I also would love to learn this secret technique seeing as I use Mach 3 to shave with.  Would be a convenient backup  O0
