Skin Cancer heads up today at work.

Had a customer come into work today and he was probably in his late 60's.
I took him out into the warehouse to show him something and he said to me that he hoped I wear a hat. (at this point a had not actually looked at him closely)
I said yeah I am aware of wearing a hat in the sun etc and he said good because I didnt want to end up like him.
So I had a gander at his head and noticed half the skin on his head was basically gone. Pretty much the whole left hemisphere was thin scar tissue.
Apparently he had gone in to get a mole that was bothering him sorted and ended up finding out it was cancer.
He said he has to go back and get more skin taken off soon. :'(
Tell you what its got me thinking more about it.

Yeah, that's why it's very important to ALWAYS wear sunscreen during the day. Even if you don't think you'll be out in the sun, it's good to wear it just in case you do end up out there. It's also important to carry some with you in your vehicles and even your desk at work just in case.

AMEN, 2 THAT TYLER..... yeah.... i make certain i cover the caramel-skinned dome b4 leaving the house. the florida sun is brutal.

What do you use that works well for the dome, guys?
This AZ sun is just as brutal, probably more so. I have to be sure to make that part of my routine.

xnewyawka.... i go back & forth with (2) sunscreens. i apply the banana boat sport (ultra sweatproof) spf 30 & the coppertone sport (ultra sweatproof) spf50. i use the sweatproof because the summers in NW florida r brutal (thank GOD 4 a/c). the banana boat one comes in an orange/blue tube & the coppertone comes in a blue tube. i bought mine @ walmart.
