Hello all, SifuDave here.
After I saw Tyler's latest announcement, I realized that my original Intro was actually in a different member's thread.
Not wanting to disrespect his wishes, I thought I should post a formal introduction.
I am BBC, having finally taken the plunge earlier this summer after keeping my head clipper-cut off & on for 5 or 10 years.
I primarily wore High & Tights but barbers & stylists rarely seemed to know what they were doing which often made me feel as if I was wasting my time & money.
A friend here at work (who has a receding hairline, so he just shaves it) knew I kept my hair short and knows I used to coach fighters.
He mentioned the HeadBlade he saw advertised on some fight show (Ultimate Fighter or IFL maybe) and told me I should try shaving it all.
I thought about it a bit, did some research & then found this site. I lurked for a week or two, read through recommendations, experiences, and made up my mind.
After finding a HeadBlade Sport & some HeadSlick at Walgreens and have been shaving pretty much daily ever since.
Recently I started doing so in the shower and don't even own a shaving mirror. Rarely do I even get so much as nicked.
I prefer the double, pivoting Atra-type blades to the Sensor-type triples and I usually put a bit of baby oil on the dome before lathering up.
The reactions have been all positive, at least the ones I know of.
Besides, if someone doesn't like the Sly look on me then that is their issue, not mine.
The freedom of not having hair to cut, wash, & dry is surprisingly liberating.
The Sly look also provided an added bonus: I used to have dandruff even with short hair, but now I don't have any problems at all.
The only downside? My bald head was nowhere near as tan as the rest of me! 'Blinded By the Light!'

Well I guess there might be one other downside:
I usually run out and buy everything you guys suggest so I can try it...

I want to thank the SBG members and Tyler for creating this forum.
The insights and encouragement provided then and now is much appreciated.
