I'd post this under military... or tattoos... or fitness... or relationships... or even (re)introductions, but I figured I'd stick it all in one post!
Military part of the post:
I found out I got selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant! I'm for anything that gives me more money (and opens me up for assignments to better places!). First time testing for promotion, too, so I'm pretty stoked. I won't sew on the new stripe for about 9 months though!
Tattoo part of the post:
I set a goal for myself in order to motivate me while I was studying for my promotion exam, and it was that I would get my first tattoo as a reward if I made it. Well, I did, so two days later I got the ink! Here goes (cue laughter):

I'll spare you guys the details, and only mention that John Steinbeck is my favorite author (really changed my outlook on how people interact with and rely on one another, amongst other things), and that the tattoo is of "Pigasus", whose story can be read here:

I let you guys down. I bought a new creatine product and promised to give you guys a review of how it worked out, but I got suckered into a bet with some guys at work and had to abandon the creatine for a few months. The bet was that I could get (A) greater than a 92 on my Air Force fitness test and (B) that I could get below 11% body fat while still (C) be able to bench press atleast 225 lbs.
Well, I got A and B done (1.5 mile run time of 10:34, 63 pushups in a minute, 50 situps in a minute, Body Mass Index of 23.2... body fat of 9.2%), but I couldn't get the bench press part down. I thought that would be the easiest part, but it's pretty hard to keep muscle strength going, even when I lifted 4 times a week, when you are running 3 miles a day and eating with the intention of losing body fat! I am pretty sick of tuna, grilled chicken, broccoli, and brussel sprouts. I lost around 15 pounds (most of it fat, some of it muscle, I'm sure) in the whole ordeal and only managed to bench press 210 lbs. Oh well, back to eating like a MAN. And I guess I can start that whole creatine thing again...
Relationships part of the post:
Been seeing my girlfriend for a while, and the last time I posted on here was during a dead lull in our relationship. Things have picked up again, which means less time for internet forums, haha. All is well on that front, it's fun and she doesn't push me into a more "serious" situation.
(Re) Introductions part of the post:
Glad to be back, guys!
