Same here, gave a business card to one of my fellow teachers who went sly recently.  (Hope it was my teaching right next door) and encouraged him to look us up as well as a sly fireman who was visiting the school today.

Hi guys,

Ive been bald for a week.
Thought I would introduce myself. Names Glen and I needed a haircut. I was about to go to the hair dresser but I didn't quite make it.  :)

I all of a sudden wondered what I would look like bald. So I grabbed the clippers and went to number 4 first.  Then Number 1. THEN 0.

I looked at it and thought, ahh what the hey.  Got my razor, lathered up and went to town hehe.

The result was a whiteness I had never before seen which thew me for a little while.  I kept getting up and looking in the mirror all night.

Next day I went to work with my baseball cap on. (i usually wear it to work)  People started say I had had a hair cut and I replied by saying "you could say that" and flashing the whiteness hehe.
Next day no cap.

Lots of shocked looks and questioning about why. To that my response was I wanted a change.  Pretty much everyone has been positive after the intitial shock.

Of course I have had my fair share of ribbing including Cancer patient, that I looked like any bald celeb they could think of etc. The trick was to joke along with them and it all settled down by day 3 mostly.

Anyway I am really enjoying being bald and I think I will be a lifelong convert :)

Cheers to all my fellow chrome domes   O0

Glen

PS I love the way avatar pic streatches when you load a page. It makes me look like a conehead :)
Any ridiculers I usually just rip a mean flex at'em

Glenr, call me weird, but I have this habit of making comparisons of people I see to famous people, as well as being able to see people in movies/TV and remember where I've seen them before.  Anyway, I kept thinking you reminded me of someone.  I don't know if this is who I was thinking of, but you sort of remind me of a character on NBC's ER show... Dr. Ray Barnett.

Here is a link that hopefully works.  If anyone thinks I'm crazy, just ignore me, and I'll go back to my corner.

How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?
