Hey to whoever reads this!
This will be my first post here although I have lurked around a bit before.



I've been dealing with hair loss since I was about 18 (as above) and I'm 24 now.
As you can see I had a full head of hair, especially since I could hardly ever afford a haircut. It steadily started receding not long after that picture however and got to the point where I did everything to try and mask it. Hats, the dreaded combover, "hair restoring shampoos", biotin, etc. Although I never wanted to do minoxidil or finasteride.

 

It was debilitating to my confidence especially thinking it would never happen to me, and when it did, why me and why at such a young age? I've come to accept that it's just what was meant to happen and I started cutting my hair shorter and shorter until I decided to just go for it.



And I'm glad I did. I have a newfound confidence not only just because I let it go but because I realized that my hair is not what defines me. It's a change yes but I actually love it. In short if any other newbies read this, go for it. You'll never know until you at least try.



P.S. Sorry about the other 3 pics, not sure why they didn't post in portrait and yes I despise selfies too but it's my only choice at 2am, hah.

you're not 30 yet. The beard may still come in, but even if not, your pics look good as you are.

Congrats...and don't sweat the beard...as you age, one of the positives is your beard growth potential usually goes way up!

Haha,  I'm not really worried about the beard, just a joke.
It actually comes in relatively  well when I let it grow it just doesn't connect. Native American genetics lol. All with due tomorrow time.
