My friend, your hairline isn't "receding"; the troops are in full retreat! Break out the blade and let that beautiful dome come out and bask in the light of day!

Go for it! Buzz all the way down and then get out the razor...it's time.

When you are ready, take it down to 0.5. Then take off the guard and see now nice it is with the shortest buzz.
And the final step is to take out the razor and complete your transition to a SBG. It will work well for you.

Thanks guys! Getting a lot of positive feedback on the #1. But yeah it's only a matter of time before the guard comes off lol.

The shorter buzz looks good. As others have said, you'll probably suit a shave nicely, too.

Embrace it dude. Bust out the shaving cream and razor. I still remember my first time, cuts and all, but it was so worth it. You're going to look awesome clean shaven.

Your process sounds similar to what I went through five years ago. Give this a go (looks good). Then take the guard off and see what it looks/feels like. You'll be ready for the razor.
Take your time. Enjoy the process. Looks good on you.
What do YOU think of the #0?

Suits your headshape and hairline well....Do you like it? Also, everyone on their own terms. If you think this is best for you long term, I think it would work. BTW that last pic give more of a 0.5 appearance, but if you did that yourself, you did a nice job!
