Brand new to Sly! Getting to know my brothers in baldness!

Hey Gentleman,

Over past couple of years I've always found myself back here whenever my hair comes back to being an issue. I'm 22 and have had a fairly substantial receding hairline/thinning on top since I was around 18. It bothered me a lot at first until I eventually came to terms with it.
Honestly it's not that much of a deal for me anymore but I actually want to give the shaved head look a go as I've been told I've got the right face for it.

Way I figure it, it's gonna have to happen in the next couple of years so why not take the leap while its still my decision. I'm actually gonna shave it tomorrow and thought I would post some before pictures now and then some after pictures tomorrow.

My main reason for posting is mostly to get to meet some fellow guys in my position and secondly to see what you guys think.
IE: Is the hairline actually that bad? Do I really have the face for it?

Appreciate any comments or thoughts you gents may have!

you will look good shaved.  your hairline is indeed receding.  Head shape is fine.  at your age i kept a very short buzz before later shaving by desire.

Welcome.  You still have a bit of hair and could hold out for a little while longer if you really wanted to - but why?  You are going to look BETTER with a clean shaven noggin.  And what is more important, you are going to FEEL better once you are free of all the worry.

Welcome on board , the only thing left is to give it a try. I would suggest try a short buzz cut first . It's the easier way of the mental adjustment most need. Good luck !

Welcome !! Im not fully sly myself  just shave at the moment but i think you will look grand. You have a good looking face so that helps anyway.Best of luck .It will take you a while to adjust even just small things like feeling the wind on your head .It is the only cure for worries about hair loss

Hey dude, I think you're gonna be able to pull off the shaved look well, whether you just buzz it or take it all the way down to the skin. My hair started going at 18 as well, believe me it's going to be a huge weight off your shoulders whatever do. It's amazing how quickly it grows on you.
