Thinking of a new look

Hi guys,
First of all, I'm new to the forum but it seems like a friendly, supportive group of people and looking through the posts it really does seem to stress the benefits of being sly.
So, a little about me, I'm 29, and have always felt insecure about myself. I'm a shy guy who tends to fade in the background. I'm lucky to have a full head of hair, I'm not receding but lately I have been seriously considering taking the plunge and shaving my head (I've had buzz cuts in the past). Now, I know this won't make me more confident but I'm at a point where I want an image change. A few weeks ago I was out for a drink with some mates from work and the issue of male pattern baldness cropped up and I stated that I couldn't imagine what it would be like. One of my mates said that actually I'd suit being bald. I have had a few skin problems lately, especially on my scalp (it is quite sore and dry) and I'm wandering if shaving might help. I've included a pic and would really appreciate some of your opinions.
Peace out guys

Welcome, mate
If the itch is there (no pun intended), why not just give it a try. You can always grow it back if you don't like it (it's going to take some time to get that much hair back). But yes, in most cases, shaving has helped cure, or at least minimize scalp issues. Good luck to you.

Why not try it, you can buzz down in stages but as stated above, if you odnt like it , it will grow back

Why not? Give it a try. Being bald by choice can help to make someone more confident. You have the guts to shave a full head of hair. A lot of your friends won't have the guts to shave their heads completely bald.

At your age and younger I felt similar to what you describe. Getting very short buzz cuts and then shaved really increased my self confidence. I notice you have a tattoo - that shows you have the confidence to that - which is also permanent. I found that also. just do it.

I think you would look great fully shaved. Give it a try for at least a couple weeks of daily shaving, coming from a bald by choice guy like you would be, i think youll be glad you did. Yes there is the daily shaving to deal with, but once you get into a routine, its much easier than having to worry about styling your hair, washing it, going to the barber however often you currently choose to do so, etc. And as i said, you would be one good looking guy. Youll get lots more attention from whichever gender youre attracted to, possibly a bit from both, and thats a good feeling.

Thanks guys!
Some helpful advice which I appreciate. I will keep you guys posted but I am thinking of waiting until the summer to give me a fresh look for my vacation.

I think it's worth trying. Be advised that if you wait until the summer, there is likely to be more of a contrast between your scalp and your skin elsewhere.

Here's my two cents worth. Just go for it ! Actually, get a nice early spring sly tan if possible. You will notice that the warm summer breezes and raindrops just kiss and hug your sly head ! Can't describe the sensation without this becoming an "x-rated" site ... LOL
Everything summer sly is worth experiencing ... after all ... you live only once !
Hope this helps and good luck !
