Shaving in hard water vs soft water
« on: March 11, 2016, 01:18:37 PM »
One of the things that I find interesting about shaving while travelling is the complete difference in shaving with hard water versus soft water.  I have found that many shaving creams and gels work better in one type of water than they do in others.

For example, there used to be a shaving cream by Citizen Smooth that was an awesome shaving cream when used in soft water, but hardly worked for me in hard water.  I've then found others that work great in hard water but feel slimy and leave a residue in soft water.

Have you had a similar experience?

I am so accustomed to hard water that just about any soap I use in a soft water environment leaves with that slightly slimy feeling.
